Genifer Lancaster, LMSW

Staff Therapist

Specialities: Depression, Anxiety, Life Transitions, Relationship Issues

Genifer believes hurt, disappointment, sadness and grief are a normal part of the human experience. Genifer notices that very often we turn this hurt inward, creating even more painful beliefs about oneself and the world.

Genifer creates a genuine relationship with her clients, closely joining her clients on their path to personal growth. Genifer collaborates with her clients, helping them to address and remove barriers that prevent them from a more meaningful, authentic, and purposeful life. Sometimes Genifer will offer curiosity, new ideas and techniques. Other times, she will help her clients identify and shift patterns that no longer serve them. In this safe, judgement-free space, Genifer's clients are able to reconnect with themselves in new and healthier ways.

Genifer works from an attachment theory perspective, believing that human beings thrive when engaged in healthy, connected and secure relationships. Genifer utilizes a trauma informed lens drawing upon a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, AEDP, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Genifer has a special interest in treating depression, anxiety, family of origin issues, and relational trauma.
